To be honest, I didn't give it a thought before we went - it's such a looong time since I last printed anything...
I always print boarding passes (as well as having them in-app) and theatre/concert tickets.
Your phone dies then they ain't holding the plane (or the gig) for you.
FWIW I'm drawing my pension.
I said that I didn't print anything - not that we travel with only a single instance of the electronic copies.0 -
We missed our flights in Pisa 2 weeks ago. Rebooked flights via Girona. Reference number given to us by Go to gate /Ryanair did not work. We could not access boarding passes. We were charged 3 x £55 to print boarding passes by Ryanair. Jet2 did this for free at Girona. Thank you Jet 2 - its good to know someone cares and helps when things go wrong0

If you booked through a third party then that's not necessarily Ryanair's fault? They only partner with certain agents and place verification obligations on people using others:grahamthecat said:We missed our flights in Pisa 2 weeks ago. Rebooked flights via Girona. So it seems that something's changed between then and now.
Whereas last Feb we flew back from Marrakech using only electronic documents, coming back from Morocco (Fes) last week and we weren't even offered an electronic boarding pass - just a padlock symbol in the Ryanair app upon checking in, saying that (paraphrasing) 'this is not an electronic boarding pass. Please pick up a paper one at airport check in'.

Not just with Ryanair, but isn't it safer to have it digitally AND a printed copy?
Phone can die, get lost etc, paper can get lost or destroyed, but you'd be really unlucky to lose both. Belts and braces…
