Ryanair and printed boarding passes

The article linked to above says about 80% of Ryanair passengers use the digital wallet. As they have 200 million passengers, that is around 16 million who don't use them. That's a lot of potential lost passengers. It just proves the old belief of the lack of any link between 'customer service' and 'Ryanair'0

A significant number of people do not have a smartphone: it seems they cannot fly Ryanair.0 -
I think there must still be lots of hurdles for them to get over before this can start. Aside from those passengers without a smartphone, what about the overseas airports that still don’t permit mobile boarding passes and require a printed boarding pass (Morocco for one)? I can also see boarding slowed up at times which has always been an important factor for FR. I am sure we have all experienced being behind a family who have all their boarding passes on Mum’s phone but an inability to quickly retrieve and display all passes from the phone to the gate agent.0

Yup it's 40 million which makes it an even stranger decision. 0 -
I've seen this mentioned before.Westin said:what about the overseas airports that still don’t permit mobile boarding passes and require a printed boarding pass (Morocco for one)?
I was in Morocco in February, with nothing but electronic documents. Nothing at all printed out, and everybody was fine with that.0 -

Well that's interesting. Even RyanAir state that mobile passes are not accepted in Moroccan airports as yet -Barkin said:

EasyJet say the same!
To be honest, I didn't give it a thought before we went - it's such a looong time since I last printed anything...0 -

I always print boarding passes (as well as having them in-app) and theatre/concert tickets.
Your phone dies then they ain't holding the plane (or the gig) for you.2
