portable dvd player (Toshiba) for £9.99

  • I myself have sent a snotty email to pcworld. Travelled 40 miles to buy this item when it was priced at £69.97 to find there was none available
wanted the item to donate to an Intensive Care ward who looked after our 2 year old daughter when she was admitted prior to Christmas as a small token of out thanks

STILL await a reply from pcworld - will also ask my friendly solictior if it is legal to carry out such an action, should it not be and pcworld do not make contact with a resonable enough answer then rest assured I wil make a complaint

Will keep you posted - maybe we should all get together en mass and boycot them, that would teach them a lesson

    Regards

    Pete

I phoned PC World and was told that there aren't any in stock and she agreed that the price might have been 'a joke' by someone on their website!

.97 items are not always out of stock go to currys website or dixons because they belong to the same group as pcworld put in there search bar .97 or 1.97 or 2.97 and so on there are some good bargains still to be had i just reserved 3 packsof jvc 25 pack from currys at 2.97 each
  • yes, but some stores will PRICE MATCH!

I got PC World to price match to a product i found cheaply on Amazon, saving me £70.00

May be worth printing this out, then visiting a local retailer and seeing if they will price match first before showing them th evidence.

    Just a thought.

They appear to have taken this off the site now as they have no stock at all?

If/when they get this item in stock, if within the next 30 days do they have to honour this low price?

Can Trading Standard do something about this type of con?

    What are the legalities?
