Ooh, what a fantastic plan!! I am thoroughly in favour 😁 we went to orkney over Christmas and New year several years on a row and that was ace 😍 at least some of those trips were before we had smart phones and while I think Mr c took a laptop on a couple of occasions we just watched a couple of films on it,  I think. Lots of reading and plotting and scheming! I bet you'll have the most marvellous time 😍

Sounds like just our kind of holiday, Elisheba.
Mr F is keen on a week up on Skye, but it would be a much longer drive for us so I think it's a great idea to go while you are already in Scotland.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

Recently went on a cruise and didn’t pay for the internet. Best thing we did, nobody could message us and we just sat, chilled, read books and watched movies. Your holiday sounds absolutely perfect to me.
