I suppose Movewithus are paid to take the burden off the executors. I think the only thing you can do to revive this purchase is to write a nice letter to the executors. I assume that the estate agent's memorandum of sale would have the names and address. And, your conveyancer must know - at the very least it must appear on the draft contract.

He has stated that if I want to move forward regardless of the above I may need to find alternate representation.That's a pretty scathing thing to be written down by a solicitor. You pay the solicitor for their expertise and their advice is that the company they need to work with an terrible and you should run.Finding a new solicitor isn't likely to make any of the problems go away. Talking to the executor might allow them to fire the agent and find someone competent, but they'll never pass any message of that nature across so unless the estate agent can do it you're almost certainly going to have to pull out.

Hi all,
just an update to this. I have spoken to a director at movewithus, as well as another firm for a second opinion - both were really surprised by my solicitors comments. They both agreed that not having the TA6/TA10 completed was pretty standard practice in a probate sale and that the contract would obviously look different - they weren’t sure if maybe my conveyancer just hasn’t had experience of probate before and therefore it looks different to a standard sale contract .. I’ve put this to him0
