Annual Travel Insurance - Change in Health Status

Options
I have 36 days left on my Annual Travel Insurance with Admiral and have a trip to Germany booked for mid July.  Since taking out the insurance I have been diagnosed with mild anaemia and am awaiting a date for a colonoscopy/endoscopy.  Am I better off advising Admiral of this change in health status or cancelling the policy and starting again?  I'm guessing that as it stands the policy is probably null and void ...

You have to tell them of health changes anyway otherwise you can invalidate your insurance.

You could get some quotes online with companies that cover people with medical issues as most don't cover if you are awaiting treatment, BUT there are many specialist companies who do cover this such as AllClear.

You could just get a single trip cover.

Best having some insurance in place.

UPDATE - Admiral wanted £57.45 to amend the policy for 36 days (which would have expired before my return).  Have now got a valid Annual policy with AllClear for £70.  Think I'm probably quids in - especially as Admiral are refunding me £3.50 for the unexpired portion of the policy!
