NPC ticket delivering

Options
Recently recieved NPC ticket when delivering something off to a store on the private land . When I was there my car was actually blocked in by a wagon where I had to wait till they moved . Unfortunately I don’t have dash cam so can’t give evidence of this . This took about 15 minutes in total . I did appeal explaining this but was rejected . It’s quite a hefty fine - £60 ( always thought parking fines were £30ish ) anyway guess just after advice . Do I just suck it up and pay it before it increases to £100

thanks

Pcns are typically £100, reduced to £60 as an early settlement figure,  been that way for 13 years or more , so it doesn't increase, the early settlement figure expires,  leaving the full total back in play

    Definitely do not pay

Come back to this thread if or when you receive a Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice,  or a court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL,  in the future

Meanwhile,  complain about the PCN to the business or landowner and get it cancelled,  known as plan A on mse

The reason it's "hefty" is because it's a private parking invoice not a "fine" the discount is to con you in to paying up their scam charge and shutting up.
What did the store say when you tried plan A as outlined in the newbies thread on here where all the information you need is explained.
You were never going to get this cancelled at appeal there's no profit in that, you are dealing with an unregulated scammers industry.

DO NOT PAY. There was no appeal. It's an outrageous scam. Ignore the £170 demands.

Come back to this thread if you receive a Letter of Claim from a solicitor or a court claim from the CNBC.

That is your dispute resolution and very easy to handle. No CCJ risk at all, as long as you don't go moving house without telling them and do not ignore a Claim Form.

    No worries! Stick with us.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Wow . First thank you all for taking the time to reply . I’ve had a good read through this forum and also notice many have had this problem in the same parking lot ( myrtle street parade Liverpool )

I will wait for the court letter then before proceeding

Although I realised I have already named myself as the owner / driver during the appeal . Will this effect my case

No, only comes into play where the driver and keeper were different people, or if it's in Scotland.

    Google "frustration of contract".

And the onus is on them to disprove your claim, not for you to prove it. The "appeals" process is a sham, as you've discovered.
