Letter of Claim - DCB Legal

Hi all. Received a letter before claim over the weekend for an alleged unpaid parking charge dating back to 2021!
I had allegedly parked at a hospital in Coventry and then nearly 4 and a half years later, received this letter before claim. I have received no other documentation whatsoever so this is the first I have heard of it.
I have sent an email to PALS already and I am going to send an email today to DCB Legal with the standard response that is already mentioned in this forum (confirmation of address and that I will vigorously defend this action etc).
I take it I will just have to wait a response from PALS to see if they will cancel the charge, or DCB Legal, which I assume will be a claim form sent in due course.
Is there anything else I need to do or do I have the above assumptions correct?
Thank you for all your help.

Check that your V5c log book is correct, plus moving house and not updating the dvla database promptly is the usual reason for missing paperwork
Email a Data Rectification Notice to the DPO at the parking company to ensure that the Claimant has your correct address, plus confirm the correct name and address for the service of papers to DCB Legal in your template response too3 -
Good idea. I just checked the v5 and it is indeed my old address still. I purchased the car in 2018 on hire purchase but paid the payment so now own it. I moved house in 2020 and the v5 is still on the old address. So I need to basically email Parking Eye’s DPO to simply update my address, right? I will update the email to DCB Legal too with the template response. Thanks for the reply.1

I moved house in 2020 and the v5 is still on the old address.Wow that's a shocker. Five years of illegal car registration. Really important never to do that; you can get a real fine of £1000.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Be very careful in any court case wording, less is more, unless challenged in court1 -
I won’t even mention it. I’ll just stick to the standard wording and ignore the address issue.0

I have been looking for a data rectification notice but I can only see some from 2022 and older which may be outdated. Can somebody please point me to the correct, and most recent notice, please?0

But it's standard and already written for you in the LBC response in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is the below okay?
Dear Data Protection Officer,
I am writing to formally request, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), that you erase any record you hold of my previous address and ensure that only my current address is retained for all future correspondence.
Please update your records to reflect my correct and current postal address as follows:
[Full Name]
[New Full Address, including postcode]
I will insert my full name and new address. However, do I need to upload any proof of address/ID or anything or not? I assume not as they already addressed my full name and address on the LBC.I only need to send this to ParkingEye and not DCBLegal, correct? For DCB Legal, I will use the template response which provides the updated address in any event.1 -
Yep that's all good.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
