CAR MARKERS TO HELP JUDGE DIMENSIONS OF CAR
Options
Hi Folks
Can someone kindly suggest any type of car markers that I can put on my car, which will help me park close enough to both the left and right hand side curbs?
Also can I get any type of markers that I could put on my car, which would help me in judging the width of my car when there is traffic coming from the opposite direction.
Thank You

Have you tried using your wing mirrors?3

The centre of the bonnet (if you can see the centre from the driving position) is normally where your near side wheel is - useful guide when driving forwards. When reversing, use your wing mirror. Check for yourself.
As for the off side, as others said, use your wing mirror.
As regards moving traffic, if an approaching vehicle knocks your wing mirror off you are too close 😂
Pretty basic stuff for those of us who took driving lessons…2 -
Really?? Buy a smaller car.0

Like a parking pole?1

Practice and experience. When parking, and assuming you don't have parking sensors or cameras, get out and look. When I changed car and had to fit my new car into a very tight space at home, I put a chalk mark on the wall to line the wing mirror up with until I'd got the hang of it.0

If you have electric door mirrors, move the kerb side one down until you can see the kerb, as soon as you are parked, move it back up though, or you will be trying to do it when driving.I found since I got the Citroen that it is impossible to see the kerb, or the white lines in a parking space, unless I back up far enough to aim , no swinging in from the access road!In The Olden Days I could crack open the door and look down (being careful not to reverse and catch it on a signpost or bollard), but modern cars slam into park and start beeping in barely restrained fury at being asked to actually do something it doesn't feel like the instant the door opens. (What happened to the Second Law of Robotics?)So now front cameras are on my "vital" list for the next car!I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I can sympathise (partly) with the OP. Cars have definitely gotten more curvy, wider, longer and thicker pillars, so even at parking speeds its difficult to judge all 4 corners. Often I find myself lining up with the space the other side of the road before reverse parking into a bay.
Practical things that can help: parking sensors. Using the mirrors and angling them downwards a bit. Reverse camera. All round 360deg cameras.
A reverse camera is a nice luxury these days and many cars now have them.

For judging the width, looks at the car coming towards you and see whether it will fit in the gap that you are trying to go through. If in doubt, don't go or go slowly.
For parking close to the curb, your wing mirrors are your best bet, but also opening the door and having a look.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. My nearside mirror is set a little low so if I sit up and forward slightly I can see the outer edge of my rear wheel in the bottom of that mirror.
I can still see behind ok when driving.
This helps me park tight to the kerb and I haven't yet caught the alloy on anything.0
