How long should a 'high-end' bathroom refurbishment take, with all the usual features for 'high-end'? Plus a new raised floor to hold some new pipework...
Thanks for any info on this.

Incidentally what are the "usual features" for a high end bathroom? How do they differ from the features of a normal bathroom? Both are places you wash and go to the loo in normally
Is for example a walk in shower (no door) high end? Is it that you've gone for a particular brand of sanitary ware? Or taps?1 -
It took about 6 weeks for my fairly simple bathroom to be done. So I'd estimate 4-6 months. Of course it depends on the crumbling walls and pipework that needs to be replaced, the electrical reinforcement to support your ultra powerful shower, the extra ventilation to accommodate your 4-person spa...0

My bathroom refit took less than three weeks - everything out, removed lath and plaster walls back to the studs and reboarded, new ply for floor, new ceiling, piping, electrics, reasonable quality but not "high end" fittings, tiling, painting and decorating.
I don't suppose mine was especially 'high end', but if that just meant you spent more on the tiles and suite than I did then I can't see why it would take a whole lot longer than mine. Say three to four weeks. OTOH if high end means all kinds of unusual features - spa baths, steam rooms, additional pumps, multiple new circuits to install for the high-powered electrical items, etc., and maybe throw in a load of bespoke joinery, a mural and some impressive traditional mosaic work, then it could fairly easily take six months.
So, there's you answer: it'll take somewhere from less than one month up to six month or more.0
