Clearly lower, based on having the fixtures etc paid for and it being in Scotland…
Thanks. The work was done without a fixed price for the work. That is why I'm seeking retrospectively to estimate the labour costs that would be average for a high-end, bathroom.
Why didn't you get this pinned down at the outset?

how much very roughly should this cost, please?

How many days did the job take?  How many trades were onsite?

Anything bespoke built to fit is going to be time consuming.

The job took over six weeks. Perhaps about eight weeks in total?

The trades were a carpenter and a multi-skilled builder.

Eight weeks labour for two properly skilled people can easily be £20k. £16k *minimum*.  Depending on who you have hired, and adding profit, overheads and VAT and you're well over £20k without blinking.

Six to eight weeks' work for two skilled guys, including bespoke woodwork etc, is a much bigger job than 95% of bathrooms and will cost more accordingly.

The fact that my bathroom in Wales cost £7k plus fixtures and tiles is not really useful here. Yes, mine was taken back to brick and redone from there, but it was under a fortnight's work for one man, plus tiler for a couple of days and plasterer for a day. All the work was pretty standard stuff.

There's no comparison to be made really, but based on the timescale alone I'd expect the labour and sundry overheads on your project to have cost well over £20k, and I wouldn't be shocked if it had been £40k or more
