I buy all my labels via ebay (for ebay purchases) or the RM site for non ebay- and they all give me delivery confirmation just like standard parcels. On ebay the delivery number is uploaded automatically as soon as I buy my label. If I buy via RM I have to add it to paypal myself.Pollycat said:

I wasn't sure if there was the same delivery number on labels bought at PO, but the fact that the OPs receipt mentioned it had delivery conformation suggests that PO labels also have it.

Thanks, what does the delivery confirmation say on the Royal Mail website? Does it suggest it was delivered or not?johnbar said:
it was 2nd class,Large Letter, Weight 0.339 kg. can this be tracked? it was posted 28/05/2025 we have a receipt from post office with Ref: number and it also says Delivery confirmation at royalmail.com . The carrier was Royal mail. Thank you.Exodi said:What does the tracking say? How long has it been since it was posted? Who was the carrier?
@Soolin 's comment is pretty spot on imo:soolin said:As above there are time frames for making a claim. Firstly check the tracking as suggested, then if it doesn't show as delivered and you are within the time frame to start a claim then direct your sister here:
Online Claim
There is a check list of required documentation including a scan of the POP and proof of item value . For standard parcels the limit for a compensation claim is £20 but it's higher if RM48 or RM24 or special delivery was used.Know what you don't1 -
I think i may have read it wrong, the receipt was for posting the parcel at the post office, and not delivery.Pollycat said:

“ with Ref: number and it also says Delivery confirmation at royalmail.com”
which implies it does have a reference number that can be checked for delivery confirmation on Royal Mail.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's very hard to understand how the OP's sister posted this large letter.
Considering your post earlier re you buying your labels online so you get delivery confirmation even for 2nd class large letter, I doubt the OPs sister bought the label online so I don't think she will have tracking/delivery confirmation for the service she bought.

Go to track your item and enter your reference number from the receipt;johnbar said:

You may also need your delivery postcode. Then you will find out whether rm think they have delivered it, know they haven't, or aren't sure. If they think it's delivered it may be hard to claim it's lost.
What is the value of the 'parcel'?1
