I pulled up to look at the price of a car on double yellows for 1 minute ignored all letters up to now court papers have arrived do I just pay it ?

    Of course you don't "just pay it", that's what they hope you will do (or that you will continue to ignore it).

    If you have ignored all correspondence until now they don't know who the driver was.

    This claim is issued by Moorside who will likely withdraw when faced with the standard Defence by the keeper which is available from this forum (see Newbies thread).

    You should follow the steps outlined to Acknowledge the claim (tell the court you received it) and then file a Defence within the time allowed.

    The vast majority of defended claims we see here are won and even if the worst were to happen you'd likely end up paying less than the amount on the form because Moorside have added interest and recovery fees which are routinely disallowed in court. 

    You have nothing to lose by defending.

    Why would you ignore it and get a CCJ for six years, when I've already written a Moorside Legal defence linked right there which will take you half an hour to adapt, sign, date and email?
