No response so far from DCB Legal with regards to the evidence they requested.

Not sure if I should continue to wait for their response or proceed with the N244.

Is there any negative to waiting?

Yes. The court requires you to act promptly.

Ahh ok. Should I give them any more time to respond to the evidence provided?

i.e: 14 days like the last email.

Their last response was just before the 14 days I requested in my original email.

I think it’s been 10 workings days for this so far.

    @Coupon-mad

They have finally responded with the below, again exactly 14 days...

"We write in relation to the below.

Please note, the evidence you have provided is not sufficient to show you did not reside at the address in which the Claim Form was served. In order to review the matter accordingly, we require evidence such as a utility bill at the time the Claim Form was served. Please provide this within 14 days from the date of this email.
Alternatively, if payment is made of the Judgment balance of £289.44 then the Court will be updated and the County Court Judgment will be marked as 'satisfied' on your credit file."

    Which I think is nonsense.

I provided evidence of my end of tenancy at the previous address, updated insurance schedule, driving licence, v5 etc...They managed to find my current address to send the CCJ letter to so they must have thought I lived here...

As I have temporarily moved back to my parents, utility bills are not in my name.

It appears to me that they just want the payment to "settle" the CCJ which I am not willing to do.

Should I respond with this info?

    Thank you.

    No.

They wanna play silly beggars then go ahead with your £313 contested application and make sure you get costs and the claim struck out too: cite VCS v Carr as the landmark 2025 case law on both these procedural points.

    Thanks @Coupon-mad

Should I update my witness statement to add about their correspondence?

Yes I would state you have made strenuous efforts to seek their consent but just got an absurd response blaming you for their negligence in not tracing your address.
