Standard and wholly anticipated next step by DCB Legal (on their way to an inevitable discontinuance). Covered off in the Defence Template thread’s 8 steps.gizzy6791 said:Just received this email from DCBL in response to me CC’ing them into the N180 to the court.
No attachment as stated though…Good afternoon
Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim. In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court.
Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This statement confused me a little:
"In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court."
They were CC'ed into my defence and N180 emails to the court which is the directions questionnaire is it not?
Are they just not reading anything or playing silly games?0 -
It's a template. Search the forum to seePRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Ahh makes sense.Coupon-mad said:It's a template. Search the forum to see
That would explain why there was no attachment as stated “please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court.”
It’s ridiculous how they get away with such lies.
As usual, thanks @Coupon-mad0 -

I have just received the following, is this when DCBL will discontinue or will they attend?
Thank you!

DCBL are not involved in this, so check your paperwork carefully
The fee deadline is this week, rarely paid2 -
In your first post back on page 1, you mentioned all 3
DCBL are debt collectors, so not involved ,won't be attending so i said check your paperwork
DCB LEGAL never attend either
Its either Parking Eye using DCB LEGAL ! OR its an in house Parking Eye claim
One of them has to pay the hearing fee this week, so the paperwork should reveal it2 -
ParkingEye is the claimant and DCB Legal are working on their behalf. Sorry, I got confused with DCBL and DCB Legal. So I assume DCB Legal will be responsible for paying the fee, or not, then issuing a discontinuance?Gr1pr said:In your first post back on page 1, you mentioned all 3
