I looked into this as I am planning to install an air-to-air heat pump to heat a workroom made at the back of my garage.  I could not find any model that lets you programme beyond on and off times, you can't change the set temperature other than manually.
Thanks, glad it's not just me then. And of course not the end of the world, perhaps 'first world problems', but would save me having to play around each day. And of course the risk of me simply forgetting in the evening to turn it back on (manually or on the app) to dial the temp up for cheap rate pre-loading, before turning it back off.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

If you could find a unit with a remote switch (or a way to emulated the IR system) you could wire it up to ZigBee / Tuya then use that app (or Home Assistant) plus a thermo sensor to do the control.
I realise this is getting a bit beyond the initial scope, but a lot of us have parts of this system in place already!
Here's a random selection of stuff I've got within arm's reach right now, for example:
