I’ve emailed the installer but want to be able to ask further questions if necessary.
Huge thanks!

That's got me scratching my head too 🤔Hopefully there will be someone who can explain it, otherwise you'll have to speak to your installer (who hopefully has seen a lot of these before).N. They quoted for 2x PW3’s but I’m wondering if this is actually 1x PW3 and one of the add on storage battery things? Would that make sense? I’m going to google those reference numbers as a start.I’m also googling what 8kw inverter limit actually means and why it doesn’t reduce the energy I can generate/use at home yet reduces export energy. 🥴0

The inverter rating and export limitation can be set independently. The export rating is how much you are allowed export to the grid, and in your case this is limited to 8kW. As you've previously indicated you intend to use everything you generate, this presumably should not be limiting to you, and is a very reasonable export rate anyway. The inverter in the Tesla Powerwall 3 is somewhat unique as it can be set in software to anywhere between 11.04kW, down to 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 or 3.68kW. I'm assuming that the 11.04kW number in the import column for the first device indicates they are happy for the inverter to be set at it's maximum 11.04kW (and the zero value for the second device would also indicate this is an expansion pack without an inverter). The inverter setting only limits the amount of connected solar than can be inverted to AC. Even when limited to a lower inverter setting, the PW3 can still deliver the full 11.04kW rating to home loads from solar/battery where sufficient battery capacity exists.I have also found my DNO (NG) to be very helpful and willing to discuss my current offer, explaining the restrictions and how they were reached, as well as being keen to understand exactly what I'd like to achieve and how best they may be able to assist/help me with that.2

Looks like your DNO approval shows 16kW (10 + 6) export across two PW3 units. This is a really good result, given that the installer applied for the full 22kW export allowance.I believe the DNO may want a max of 8kW per PW3 (X 2 = 16kW) but this is something that is very unclear - the installer should confirm the outcome for you.- 10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers.
