John Lewis credit card - rewards reducing

Not sure if other people are aware, points going to the basement floor.

Was 1 point for £4 eleswhere.
Now 1 point for £10 elsewhere.

    Do you happen to know if they work out the points 'per transaction' or on your monthly statement balance i.e the total

    0.01% earn rate. Absolutely no reason to hold this card any more.

    Although, from last experience, one likely bonus of getting rid of it is you will be invited to open a new account in a few months with either £20 or £40 worth of points to tempt you back.

    Usually with no punitive requirement attached.

    Interesting - when was the last time you received such an offer?

    I will mostly be using my ASDA card with double the points that JL now offer. They reduced theirs too in April for those who did not get that email.

    Hi, had a look back and my points are calculated on each individiual spend.  I spent £15 ( 3 points) and £29.99 (7 points) Total £44.99 (11 points) but I get 10, not 11.  Hope that makes sense.  I've closed it now.
