It's grim, raining and I'm cold but it's June. Should I light the fire?

It hasn't really been cold here. Living room is still 20c at 08:30 with no heating. Low was only 19.5c. same yesterday.

Our heating is set to 19 during the day but has been off for several weeks. Temp was 18.2 @ 06.30 this morning. 1st time it’s dipped below 19 for about 10 days.
    But
If I was still cold, after putting jumper/fleece on, I’d definitely have the heating on. Hate being cold!

Got down to 19.5°C@08:00 here. Even without any sunshine, it has crept up to 20.1°C today.
Heating might kick in if it gets down to 17°C, but I don't think that is going to happen. Cat is quite content curled up on my bed, so no need to light the fire either.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Just reminded me of June 6th 1976, it snowed at the cricket in Derby, that was the year of the big drought.

Had to chastise the wife severely last week when she sneaked the heating on one evening- made worse by the fact that the timer was on the blink so we woke to a tropical house ! I've bought her a heated throw to use - she had "forgotten" !!

Females have less mass (muscle/fat)  and therefore metabolism is slower and we feel cold.

Seems to match my recent experience, nights have in last few days become much more pleasant whilst days are t-shirt, of course an outdoor temp of 10C isnt a indoor temp of 10C unless maybe you live in an open tent or a greenhouse with no glass or something.  Room temp is currently 21C with no heating used since mid March.  It only is dropping to about 19-20C at night.

Indoor temps here are a pretty steady 19-20 C for the past few days (little sun so no solar gain).
