hi wondered if anyone can help out we have a small family business and have to divert our calls from home phone to mobile so we dont miss any calls when out in the van ...........is there a cheap way to do this we are with bt at the moment thanking you all for any help
AFAIAA, the cheapest way is to have BT Together Option 1 (£10.50/month after the 50p/month paper-free discount when paid by DD), opt for the £1.75/month BT Call Diversion Calling Feature and sign up for the (free) Primus Saver Option 2 CPS (with the Penny Mobile 2 add-on).

Apart from giving you free evening and weekend UK 01/02 calls of up to 90 minutes each that gives you, the Penny Mobile 2 add-on allows you to divert your calls to a mobile for a flat rate of 20p for up to 20 minutes at any time. I use it all the time.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

But you need to make chargeable calls to avoid paying for these features. I dont think inclusive calls count.

The 'inclusive calls' to 01/02/03 landline numbers on BT Together Options 2 and 3 do count towards qualifying for 'free' 1571 and Caller Display from BT.

  • Do any of you know for certain whether inclusive calls under option 2/3 count? I am confused now... we have two contradictory answers to the same question.

I would go with gt94sss2 answer. He is the BT font of knowledge.:D
  • I just spoke to a woman at BT in an overseas call-centre, who told me that inclusive calls do not count. She didn't fill me with confidence though. Her English wasn't fantastic and she seemed to sure of what she was saying in that 'I am insecure and don't know what I am talking about so I had better pretend' way.

As a BT advisor I can confirm that inclusive calls from option 2/3 DO count. :)
