I received a ccj from a private car park

Hi I’m new here

I received a letter from HM Courts & Tribunal Service a couple days ago for a parking ticket which I got 2 years ago they kept sending letter over demanding money which I ignored now I have received a letter from the courts and I don’t know what to do.

The car didn’t belong to me I was hirer of the vehicle, I am a private hire driver and on the day was picking up a passenger and they had somehow snapped a photo of my car. They are saying I had breached the terms and conditions of the private land but I don’t see how.

    Welcome!

Read the second post of the NEWBIES thread and use the template defence (NOT 'appeal' ... do NOT read the first post of that thread). You can find it with 2 clicks: see my signature.

Show us the claim form with the same 4 things redacted that you've seen on all the other claim threads. If you haven't looked, read half a dozen other claim threads on page one first, to be confident about what to redact.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

I doubt that it's a CCJ, more likely to be an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL

Post the issue date from the top right of the claim form below , plus the name of the parking company

Post a redacted picture of the claim form,  after hiding your name and address,  and the claim reference number,  and the VRM details in the lower left panel,  plus the password on the lower right side too ( so no sensitive personal data   )

Presumably the hire company named you as the hirer

Only post paragraphs 2 + 3 + 3.1 after adapting them, not the rest of the unaltered template

But, you will be using all of them in your final defence document

But first,  login to your government gateway account,  then into MCOL using your redacted claim reference and password , then complete the AOS online on MCOL ASAP to get more time to hone your defence

Follow the AOS Dropbox advice in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

So AOS first, then adapting e paragraphs

Adapt those 3, but eventually you will use all 30 or so paragraphs in the final document

Name the paragraphs that YOU have altered,  the rest doesn't need checking
