interest is added a year after you ring up to open it - not the anniversary of the first installment. I complained when this happened to me and got a correction.
i see, yes i opened mine on the 8th of jan 2007 but got my direct debit to come out on the 29th ( after i had been paid)
this makes sense now..... how much did you 're-claim' for the complaint then?0 -
the difference between what I got and what i should have got. I maintained it wasnt clear, and they should have advised me better - at the time it was buried in the T&Cs with obscure wording. I think they actually made it up to £50.0

The last payment went into my Barclays RS yesterday but no interest has been added.
As the first payment had to have been after, or at worst, the same day as the account was opened, surely the interest should have been credited by now?
What do you guys reckon?

If your last payment went in yesterday then I would think you are a month away from maturity. You probably started your saver mid Feb 07 didn't you?
Interest is normally added on the anniversary date.
