Yes, that's correct. It matures on the anniversary of account opening. The account will be converted into an Easy Saver shortly after maturity. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
thanks for clearing that up.
cheers:money:0 -
Incorrect information. Apologies0

could i just also ask...... when it matures can i simply transfer all the money to my current account and close this reg saver down? and wait to get a new saver account0

Maturity
(14) At the end of the 12 month term the Regular Saver account will be converted to a Barclays Easy Saver account (including those accounts where there has been a breach).
(15) Once the Regular Saver account is converted to an Easy Saver account, the account will continue to be held in the same name(s) and manner as the Regular Saver account, and will thereafter be subject to the account features, interest rate(s) and terms and conditions applicable to the Easy Saver account We will provide you with such information at the point your account is converted.
(16) In the case of an Easy Saver account held in joint names, you authorise us to accept instructions, including instructions to make payments or withdrawals from the account, from anyone of you.
(17) You authorise us to continue to make monthly standing order payments from your current account in the same amount as for your previous Regular Saver account, and to credit these to your Easy Saver account until you give us alternative instructions.
The above is from my regular saver contract with Barclay's, albeit taken out a month later than yours with a different interest rate, but it might give you an idea of what is likely to happen.0 -
excellent, thanks.
i will get all the money out and find a new reg saver for the new year then on maturity.:money:0 -
i had one of these, the interest was added, i transfered it out same day.0

IAM VERY CONFUSED........
i opened this saver on jan 29th 2007
but the interest has been added today (8th jan 2008) £145.48
is this correct?
should the interest be added the exact day i put in the first installment, in which case am i loosing out on interest here?0 -
interest is added a year after you ring up to open it - not the anniversary of the first installment. I complained when this happened to me and got a correction.0

james3333, i think i got about the same amount if it helps.0
