HELP! One stressed mama!

Hi all,
I am new to this site - so apologies in advance if I am repeating something or posting in the wrong place.
I have received a Claim form from the Civil National Business centre. I parked in a mother and child bay and received a notice stating that I was parked outside of the bay - I wasn't, but I was parked on the line as the person next to me was parked close to my bay.
The company is UK PARKING CONTROL LIMITED. I ignored the letter from the parking company as my friend told me to ignore it.. have I messed up?
The car is not my car, it is my sons Motability vehicle.
The particulars of claim are:

I have had sleepless nights - please - any help or advice would be hugely appreciated - I don't want CCJS!

DCB Legal presumably?
Bulk litigator who eventually discontinue at the eleventh hour in 99% of cases.£340 is an odd amount. It's usually nearer the £260 mark (£100 + £70 + £30 + £50 + interest). What's their breakdown?Read the stickied thread about court claims and the process.
First step is to login (you might need to set up a Government Gateway account) and file an acknowledgement of service to extend your deadline.
Is the claim in your son's name, but you were the driver?
If so use the standard template defence and in paragraph 3 just state that you (ie. your son) are the registered keeper, but was not the driver. Say the driver denies parking over the lines and will submit their own witness statement.
It being a motability vehicle probably isn't relevant.3 -
Stop worrying, you are here now, in the best place for good help and advice
Post the issue date from the top right of the claim form please
Are YOU named on the left of the claim form ? Or is it your sons name ?
I presume that on the left it says UKPC and below it DCB Legal ?
Post a redacted picture of the costs breakdown boxes, because there were 2 pcns in the POC
If you are named on the claim form, how come they know who was driving ( ( normally the claim form would have the name of the keeper, in this case, your son, not you )

No need to have sleepless nights, this is only a private parking invoice and you cannot just get a CCJ it's only UKPC who threaten and puff to get you to pay up their invoice. This needs to be robustly defended with help from here, they will take it to a claim then withdraw eventually, but you must keep on top of it.Have you found the newbies thread yet on top of this forum, you need to read through the relevant details then come back for more help.Where was this car park, your first step is plan A a complaint to the landowner that the occupants of a motability vehicle that needed extra access room are being harassed by their contractors.3

Indeed it is - the particulars specify TWO dates.
However the particulars are also grossly inadequate as it is unclear how the terms of contract were breached/why the defendant is liable for a charge and that could be different for each event.

Good point, sounds like a strike out defence could be in order, possibly a Chan & Akande defence ?4

Guys - thankyou so so much for your replies! What an amazing bunch of people you all are!!
Yes - the address for sending payment is DCB legal ltd.
The car is in my sons name as his mobility vehicle, however I was driving.
The issue date on the claim form is 28th May 25. The letter is addressed to me and I am named as defendant.2 -

You must have appealed both of them for them to have your name. Can't have ignored them both completely or this claim would be in your son's name.
Is your son a child who was with you?
I wonder if this one is worth a strikeout?

As above by coupon mad
Somebody told them you were the driver ( otherwise the claim would be in the keepers name ), so Somebody received the letters and responded1 -
I am named as the defendant. My Son's name isn't mentioned at all. The date of issue is 28 May 25 Yes - UK parking control Ltd is the claimant and DCB legal is the correspondence address. The only breakdown of costs is: Amount claimed 351.04 Court fee 50.00 Legal Representative costs 50.00 Total Amount 451.04 I am the only person named to drive the vehicle (my son is 10) and I absolutely have not replied to any letters... I wonder if it is because I am the named driver or the person who is appointed to deal with my son's claim? Yes, both charges are for parking over a line in the parking bay.0
