That's good. So you need to call whomever it is you own them via, the registrar or your stockbroker, and ask what's up or do nothing and wait to see.
  • Hey, can anyone help me.

I was under the assumption that Royal Mail shares that weren’t sold, would be compulsory purchased but I’m not sure if this is the case.

Can anyone give advise about this or am I required to to send off my paper certificate for the funds?

    Thanks

I cannot see any RNS' subsequent to this one that said they'd go ahead with the compulsory acquisition.

Easiest would be to just contact the registrar and ask what's going on.

My dad passed away earlier this year.  He owned IDS shares but we were dealing with his will and probate while all of this takeover stuff was going on.  Now that the shares have transferred to my mam I have no idea what we’re supposed to do.  We requested that the paper shares be moved into the Equiniti CSN  but they say that is not possible but the letter was very technical and we’re stumped.
If anyone has any advice on how we tell whether ‘we’ accepted the offer that would be great, if we didn’t, what do we do?

I suggest you contact Equiniti (Royal Mail's Share Registrars) on 0333 2076505

Even if your family didn't accept the offer, all the shares are now being complusary purchased.
