    You need to find out who owns the fence, is it you or the neighbours. Then once that is clarified, have a chat with the neighbours about;

    A. If it's yours, neighbours sharing the cost of a new fence for the boundary.
    B. If its theirs, bring it to their attention, they will either replace it or not. Legally there is no requirement to have a fence to separate boundaries unless clearly stated in the deeds.
    C. If its yours or theirs and you want to end the issue then replace yourself and if allowed make the fence bigger.

    My kids footballs go over two of my neighbours gardens, we have a great relationship. I make sure they go and knock on, apologise and ask if the ball could be thrown back. A annual box of chocolates is helpful to keep them 'sweet'.
