Can you link different Outbound and Inbound flight destinations?

Options
Hi all, because of poor flight timings, I've had to book 2 x flights the Outbound to Airport X and the Inbound from airport Y, both with the same carrier (Ryanair). I've now got several months of worry that should either the Outbound or Inbound flights change / cancel it will impact on the other flight, but I won't have any recourse. I have annual travel insurance with my bank and booked both flights within 10 mins of each other. (in Outbound and Inbound uses the same UK airport its the foreign airports that are different)

Am I in limbo land or is there a law / condition that uses a 'balance of probability' standing on somehow linking these flights together.

Regards,

Al

Ryanair flights are sold as single entities, point to point.

If one changes its hard cheese, they dont have to refund or move the others.

Maybe its been a long day though but I dont fully understand what you have actually booked.

There is a concept of a single 'open-jaw' return booking (out to one airport, back from another) when using full-service airlines but not when using low cost carriers like Ryanair who only offer point to point tickets.

In terms of risk, much will depend on the amount of competition on the routes - where are you flying to/from, how far apart are the flights, and how critical are the dates and times?

As it’s Ryanair, you are in the same situation as if you were using one overseas airport not two. They don’t link flights or consider them a return booking as fas as I know, so the issue isn’t that you have arranged open jaw flights, it is that you’ve chosen Ryanair as your airline.
