MET Parking charge - Parking charge number not recognised

Hi,
We recently received a parking ticket from MET Parking for staying 3 hours in a store car park that has a 1.5 hour maximum stay.
In actual fact the store had been visited twice for about 20 minutes each time and a purchase made each time, it seems to be a classic case of double dipping.
Reading the newbie thread on here our first port of call was to contact the store and explain and they agreed and said they'd get it cancelled.
If I go to the MET Parking website and enter the ticket and vehicle details it says that the ticket is not recognised.
I'm hoping this means that the ticket has been cancelled but I was just looking for some confirmation that it definitely has been, I never checked the link before contacting the store so don't know if it was originally working.
Have others found this to be the case too?
Thanks

I think you are probably correct - did you get any written confirmation that they would cancel it or was it just a phone call?2

They said they'd be in touch to confirm it had been cancelled but they haven't done so yet and we're just coming up to the 14 day mark.I've not tried contacting them again yet as they weren't easy to get hold of in the first place.

Maybe. Maybe not.
It's only a faulty invoice. Relax.0 -
It might have been passed to a silly debt collector though in which case it will not show on the PPC's site.1

I hope that's not the case as the letter was sent just less than 2 weeks ago and there is no way to pay or contest the ticket or contact them to check using the details they've sent me.0 -
Yes there is. Use either their DPO email or their complaints email. Both will be on their website.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
