im not into coffee shops etc, but i would have gone elsewhere if no prices were not shown or the price was too high for me.2

Just walked out of a vision ex - prices include single vision but no reduction in frame for varifocals, She said you can split the cost over two years - I can afford them but I just want value for money.1

Fab, the more we make a stand and walk out, the more likely the retailers will reflect on their pricing.MayDogsandCoffee said:Just walked out of a vision ex - prices include single vision but no reduction in frame for varifocals, She said you can split the cost over two years - I can afford them but I just want value for money.2 -
A recent thread on here kind-of agreed that Asda Opticians (if you have available) seem to offer value.MayDogsandCoffee said:Just walked out of a vision ex - prices include single vision but no reduction in frame for varifocals, She said you can split the cost over two years - I can afford them but I just want value for money.2 -
I did the same a couple of years ago. They wanted £7,000 for 2 pairs of Varifocals! Couldn't believe it and told them it was a ridiculous price and the best they could come up with was "well you'll get a new pair in a year's time if you need them"!MayDogsandCoffee said:Just walked out of a vision ex - prices include single vision but no reduction in frame for varifocals, She said you can split the cost over two years - I can afford them but I just want value for money.

I took my prescription to Specsavers and got my 2 pairs of varifocals for just over £300 but they did in fact retest my eyes as I told them I'd recently had my cataracts done (the reason I'd gone to Vision Ex!) and they came up with a completely different need for my glasses which have been really good! I suspect had I gone with the expensive ones I would have needed new glasses after the year!flaneurs_lobster said:
