Targeted Barclays Switch Offer £75 + £75 - April 2025

Did anyone receive and take up a targeted Barclays current account switch offer that was sent out at the end of April? 

It said that the initial £75 would be paid in either May or June, depending on when the switch occurred. I started my switch the day I received the offer (which was the last day or so in April) but have not received the £75 yet. I couldn’t physically have done anything more to switch any quicker yet we are in June now and no payment has been received.

 I’m wondering if my switch hasn’t been picked up by their system for some reason, or if others that also switched at the same time are still waiting for the payout as well?

Yes, I got the offer, the £75 payment was received a week or so ago. I think it was a couple of days after the £800 went in

I haven't come across this offer. Does anyone have a copy of the Ts&Cs so that I can archive them?

I also took the offer up but heard nothing about my bonus either. I didn't complete my switch till middle of May time though, so it's not too long since.

I’m still waiting for my switch bonus as well. Am going to wait until July 1st and then submit a complaint if it still hasn’t arrived by then. 

Just out of interest, did you pay in the required £800 before, after or as part of the switch itself? I did mine before (but after the switch had started as per the T&Cs) and am wondering if maybe their systems haven’t picked this up for some reason.

I sent it in the day the switch completed, I guess that could have been too early but I dunno... It's odd.

Did the terms required you to pay in and leave the money in? I vaguely recall they (or maybe it was Co-Op??) had a switch where the money had to be in for a day before it could be moved out

 I left it in a few days anyway just incase. It didn't specify it though.

Just an update for anyone in the same boat as me.

Still no £75 in my account but I received an email from Barclays today congratulating me on earning £75 for my account switch. It went on to remind me to use my debit card between either June & October or July & November to make sure that I earn the 2nd £75.

I called Barclays to explain that I’ve received their congratulatory email regarding the £75 but not the £75 itself. I was put on hold while the person made checks, and was subsequently advised that I’d receive the £75 within 28 days of that email arriving (ie 28 days from today). 

This cannot be correct though as the offer states that the switch bonus will be paid in either May or June, with the debit card offer running from June to October or July to November. If the bonus were to paid to me in July not only would it be late, I also wouldn’t get 5 full months of the debit card offer. So, after querying again I was put on hold once more before being told that the £75 would arrive in the next 5 working days.
