£10 against the cost of buying a new computer is I think well worth investigating. After all this is a Money Saving Expert forum.  :)

But my laptop is unfortunately shot. I've opened it up and cleaned it but the keyboard and touch pad are done for  :/:smile: My main point is that I need a new laptop and thought it's would be a good time to get a non Windows one.
Erm, there is are wonderful devices called wireless(or even wired) keyboard and mouse ….
I have them for my old i5-24xx which has a knac*d kb/tp and it even runs W11

Sure. But I've had problems enough carrying around a laptop in my small carry around luggage bag without adding a keyboard and mouse.
