Received Court Date - Prepairing Witness Statement now

Options
Hi All,

First of all I would like to thank all the kind souls who are helping hundreds of common folk fight against this scam industry. All the guidance and tips here are invaluable for people like me who never had any dealing with the legal system.

I have followed all the advice given here in order to progress my case and now I'm at final stage where CEL/DCB are going all the way of pursuing me for two PCNs somehow totalling £482. Hearing date is 1st week of July and the claimant needs to pay the court trial fee of £59.00 by 23 June.

I have three questions at this stage;

1- Shall I wait until 23 June to see if DCB pays the court fees before I submit my witness statement to the court and to them?

2- Is there a way for me to find out if they've paid the court fees.

3- PCNs were issued at a free car park at our local lesuire centre which I have been visiting for years as I'm a member of a sporting club. I have two people who willing to testify that they were there with me and saw me entering my reg. details on the parking companys screen. What is the forum's advise regarding bringing additional witnesses to testify and what is the correct process for it?
According to A.I. :

Notify the Court & Claimant

  • Write to the court (quoting your case number) explaining that you wish to call additional witnesses and provide:

    • Their names.

    • A brief summary of their evidence (what they will say).

  • Send a copy to the claimant (or their solicitor) at least 14 days before the hearing (earlier if possible).

Is this correct?

Many Thanks in advance.
HB53 :)

    1) when is the WS deadline    ?

    2) you phone the court that you nominated in your N180 DQ document,  so the court listed on your court order with the hearing date

That AI result is rubbish! You don't need permission.

Shall I wait until 23 June to see if DCB pays the court fees before I submit my witness statement to the court and to them?
Yes. And just attach the other one too.

In what capacity will your Witnesses be acting?  What is it that they will offer to the court in your support?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Your witnesses should write,  sign and date their statements and you add them into your WS bundle,  then ideally you would want them there on the day,  to be cross examined where necessary

So I've not heard anything so far from them so I'm going to submit the Witness Statement. Reading the forum it looks like its a hit and miss if they inform of discontinuation.

Below is the PoC I received originally. Does it look any different from their standard template?

    Thanks in advance.

14 days before the hearing I believe as per hearing papers.

Decided not to go down that path as was hoping for discontinuation.

OK, this is going to sound really stupid but I cannot find where to send my Witness Statement, I presume it'll be the County Court hearing the case but how do I get their email?
Also I read somewhere that @Coupon-mad said that we have send it hard copies to the court?
    Did I understand it right?

Have you phoned the court and found out if they have paid the hearing fee?
