Thanks, I have looked at the threads suggested and resent the N180 form and also made a complaint.

I have a mediation call for this case in the morning. Any guidance or suggestion on how I can handle it or what to expect.

    Many thanks

    Hello,
So I have agreed to settle the matter with £50 spread over 5 months.
The mediator called me back several times. Saying the claimant will accept £290, then £250.
I then suggested £50 stuck to it and they agreed.
I now wonder if there is a possibility I could have won the case given that the mediator called me almost 1hr later saying that the claimant has now reconsidered accepted.

I really want this chapter to close. I have another 2 claims pending and its getting so draining so I guess I took the somewhat easier option.

You will never know, but there was a strong possibility of a discontinuation, as we keep telling everyone

You decided on a line in the sand and accepted the monetary settlement, which is what the mediation stage is all about

Sure, I will try again with the other 2 case.

Its a fine of uncertainty between getting the case thrown out, having to pay a fine in court or negotiating something with the mediator.

…oh no. Disastrous decision and completely against all the advice here.
