Clubcard Challenges

We are on our third invited go at CC Challenges. The targets are stretched rather this time and items we rarely purchase. I don't expect as much success as with the earlier games.

Oh yes the Tesco Finest one was an easy one to hit as I like their sausages and some other things. I made a good lump out of those at the tail end of 2024, I think I got nearly £50 that time, but the pre Christmas 2025 I got nothing at all.
This time round I'll hit the Knorr stock pots challenge (even though I prefer Tesco own brand), and my fridge will be full of Cathedral City cheese, which fortunately has long dates on, but I can't see me even getting close to £31 of veg for 300 points as there's only 2 of us. Not sure about £16 of fruit either. The Would have helped if the first week's shop counted but I only found out the day after.
Lots of other things in my list I don't buy anything like enough, or at all.
I did really well when they included Oatly, but I haven't got that this time round.

This time round the finest meat range seems a good offer - I do like the finest dry cure bacon and the latest sausages too. I tend to stock up on things like tinned tomatoes or pasta too if they are part of the challenge.
I think this time I'll make about 2000 points which is worth £40 off cinema or holidays. Hopefully they'll run throughout the year!

I hadn't realised until I saw further up this thread that you could use them for EasyJet. We've got a holiday booked with a balance to pay, but unfortunately the holiday is booked in OH's name, and the points are in mine. Hey ho, will try and remember for next time.
Mostly we use ours for restaurants. I was quite surprised to find that Prezzo were giving 3 times the value of the points when I used them on Saturday. Hadn't used any for a while and I'm sure it was just double value last time.
Our local cinema is a small independent and we have annual memberships so the cinema vouchers aren't useful for us.
Of course the worst thing for using your points is just face value in the shop.

Fear not - the only thing that is needed as far as I am aware is that the email address is the same on the accounts.
I believe if you update one of them the vouchers can be used.

That was a close call. One of my products is on offer ending today and my local has been out of stock, after getting staff to check they found a stock discrepancy so were not getting re-supplied. Today I was on my travels and passing another store so popped in and filled my quota.

I didn't get the December challenge, and I can't see the link the app this time, however having kept a tab on Chrome open I was able to opt in.
I've realised that some items apply to more than one challenge and I believe spending £3 on Branston beans, applied to Branstons, beans and pulses and tinned vegetables.
I've completed the fresh fruit one already, though seems a lot to have spent on fruit in maybe 3 weeks!!

Well today is the last day.
2210 points. Not bad. I could in theory get another 490 but I'd need to spend £10 so not really worth doing.
With my clubcard points that's 2700 in total which is £54 off a holiday next year.
Fingers crossed for a few more rounds in 2026!

Would it be £10 spend on stuff you need?

Not really. It's for food to go. I'd use the sandwiches etc but it's not really worth it.
But happy with the total points anyway.
