Worth going to court?

Looks like it might have just been rear tail pipe missing. Or that someone has fitted a wrong rear box & only way to fit was to cut tail pipe off, which would explain why box was too close to bumper on MOT?Life in the slow lane1

No there was no back box or pipe from the silencer back- il put picture from underneath when we noticed it was gone, obvs you can see the hole where the pipe would be

Dear oh dear.
Anyway, you now have a choice. Let them do what's needed to fix the car, or stop using it and start the process of court proceedings. What's your back-up plan for the several months it will take to see it come to court?0 -
I actually have another car I use daily. This one is our dog car we take on Salisbury plain etc for dog walks and don’t worry about it getting manky. So it’s not actually an issue to wait. I just don’t want to go through the court malarkey if the evidence isn’t enough and I lose. But the way the consultant man has been talking to me has been so rude and condescending I don’t want to let it go 😂Aylesbury_Duck said:Dear oh dear.

Taking this to court because the way the consultant spoke to you sounds like your heart is ruling your head.FKIW99 said:

I may have missed this part but is there any way the missing exhaust pipe may have fallen off after you purchased the car?
Good luck with your court battle if you do proceed with it.0 -
Given you have fixed the exhaust (what did that cost) is it worth the risk of going to court, as in effect your repair cost is lost.
Then there is the danger as per this thread

That they simply shut up shop & reopen under a new name & you get nothing.
While I get the disappointment/anger on the consultant man, they do not have anything to do with the garage.Life in the slow lane0
