Did you take pictures of the car, unscratched, immediately before it was left at the garage?

I did visual check but didn't take it as I took picture just 5 mins before hand on my driveway.

If you didn't notice the damage at the garage on collection and bring it to their attention at the time you'll have little chance of any redress unless they admit they scratched it.

Unless the garage has a video of the car going out with this damage, it is your word against theirs.
This is a lesson for all of us, take pics of car and mileage way in and check for damage/mileage before you drive the car away.
I had a dent on the passenger side of my car a few years ago after i brought the car back home. I was 99% certain that the door had caught a pillar on the their car lifts but as I had no evidence and I was not 100% certain, I did not bother.

So, playing devil's advocate, the damage could've been done between leaving your house and getting to the garage?
