Virgin on XGS-PON network

Hi All!
We're on an estate that is surrounded by people on BT FTTP - we seem to be the last to be fibbered up and our only FTTP option seems to be Virgin on the up to2Gb XGS-PON network. As i understand it this isnt the dedicated Virgin network of years ago so my question is, is there any possibility of another provider being able to come in also?   not really keen to use virgin due to their poor service.....

VM are the anchor tenant on Nexfibre  in truth they are one and the same , Virgin announced that they were going to be wholesalers as well as a retailer on their network, but nothing has happened after that  and a certain amount of back peddling has taken place since , Nexfibre supposedly has always been a network provider rather than retailer , and apparently has another ISP other than Virgin available in a limited number of places but that’s Smarty Mobile , which happens to also be a MVNO on VM/O2 , in truth O2 budget brand , so its all pretty incestuous.
To answer your question, is there a possibility of someone other than Virgin can provide you FTTP service on the network have access to , Yes it’s possible , but extremely unlikely to be anyone other than VM
