    I looked at my paper statement & it's £150 :eek: which will be taken 28 days from the date of the statement (24th Dec) so will be 21st Jan the day I get paid again - thanks god!!! I should have £70 left from this months wages plus the £30 I transfered. I have £10 in cash and don't need to buy anything till payday so no more should be coming out.

    Deb, I'd give the bank a call and ask them if they would consider cancelling some of those charges.... got to be worth the cost of a call? Depending on the human being you get sometimes it can be worth asking?
    I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Callcredit

    MBNA = 1440/18 = 6.6 yrs left
    Payment each month = 18.53
    Reduces by each month = 18/19
    Interest = 0
    Status = [ok] last 3 months

    Barclaycard = 997/12.58 = 6.6 yrs left plus interest
    Payment each month = 12.58
    Reduces by each month = 7
    Interest = 5.58
    Status = [ok] since Aug 06

    Capital One = 2582/50 = 4.29 yrs left
    Payment each month = 50.06
    Reduces by each month = 50
    Interest = 0
    Status = [6] since May 06

    TSB Loan = 5890/91 = 5.39 yrs left
    Payment each month = 91.08
    Reduces each month = 91/92
    Interest = 0
    Status = [ok] since Sep 05

    First National = 907
    Payment each month = 9.26
    Reduces each month = 0
    Status = [D] since May 06
    Other = On Equifax account was closed 12/04/2006

    Equifax/creditexpert

    TSB CC = 2484
    Status = [£] - arrangment to pay for last 3 months / [0]

    Creditexpert

    HFC = 2928
    Status = [8]
    Other = Disputing this as statement says I have credit & balance of £2326.12

    As you may have guest I like to make lists lol.

    Everything doesn't look too bad. TSB who I thought were bad actually aren't charging me anything, well not for the last 3 months so thats good. Also I'm not being charged by MBNA.
    Obviously my figures weren't correct at the start of my DMP, I shall be sending Payplan my lasted credit report tomorrow so they can update my figures.

    Looks like I'm not going to be debt free for another 6 years not 4 :(

    I have a question about First National. I have been paying them £9.26 since March 2006 and my balance has stayed at £907 since May 06 so I've paid around £166 for nothing. I haven't received a letter from them about my account being closed (March 06) or the debt being passed onto anyone. I moved house end of August 2006 if I was going to hear anything I would have by then, any letters I received I sent to payplan, these were asking for payments.

    I shall be updating my sig to reflect that I have paid another month off the balances

    So to get my debt (£16719) paid off in 4 years I need to pay £348 a month so that is do able the way I am going now as I pay £268.50 a month and I am aiming to pay another £1200 at the end of the year from the money I am putting away from emergencies. I'll also add my bonus which should be around £400.
    So just with that I'd be paying £4822 this year, if I do that for 3 years I should be nearly debt free.

    I haven't added my LTSB overdraft into the balance as I don't know yet what it is. If I can sort out FN Trinity then I may be able to reduce my debt.

    At first when I was going over the figures I started to totally freak out thinking it will take over 6 more year to pay off but with just a bit more a yr it can go down to 4 if not 3 :)

    So I've sent everything off to Payplan today, hopefully hear something by the end of the week.

    Should I rent or buy? I don't have any dependents & I don't want any lol I'm not thinking of right now but in 14 years time when I've 40. By then I shall be debt free, have at least one degree and some money saved up :)

    I'd need to be earning at least £25k which I should be at with the company I am currently with by then - £19800 currently + 3-3.5% each year. I don't really want to be working here that long :rotfl:

    If I was able to pay it back by the time I finished work then only household bills would have to come out of my state/private pension, would I still be able to afford to rent, that is the question.

    The only 'creditor' my OH has is his ex - she helped him out sometime in the past so he's repaying her. Years ago he went bankrupt & couldn't get a bank account so his wages went into her account. Every few weeks he goes to see her to get his money for the next 2 or 3 weeks, that basically is money for work travel, house bills/rent when needed & a budget for food each day. He was budgeting £10/20 a day for travel & food. She would also get him loads of cat food & around £30 of snacks (main household food is bought by his siter I think). Anything else is left in her account repaying her I don't know how much a month but he says it's not all hers. She is basically living off him & to him she has a right to as he owes her money. She doesn't works (has ME) and gets benefits. Even though he says we shoulld go away for the day whenever I question his money he say we won't be going away anytime soon.
    He never wants to talk about this with me as it has nothing to do with me but as long as she has this hold we'll never be able to do anything or move on with ur lifes.
    To me she is basicall looking after him.

    I get paid on 21st and when I do I will be taking money out and placing into envelopes.

    1 for food - £50, 1 for travel - £40, 1 for clubs social life - £80 (not that have actually started skating yet or go out anywhere) and maybe one ofter. Then I will not be touching my bank card.

    Got a letter today from Capital One to say thank you for telling them my new address, it also states that my balance is £2532.02 so one more months payment has gone out. I'm still £232.02 over the limit though.

    so updated my budget with payplan (waiting for them to update their systems) so I'm now paying £300 instead of £268.50

    Incomings/outgoings

    Income = 1235

    Outgoings -
    Rent = 376.00
    DMP = 300
    Mobile = 35
    Web host = 5
    Littlewoods = 15
    TOTAL = 731

    I-O = 504

    [strike]Ice Skating = 55 (only term times, £9 a week otherwise)
    Roller Skating = 25 [/strike] -
    haven't started yet

    Food = 50
    Travel = 40
    Mum = 50 (100 for next month)

    LEFT = 364

    How lets see if I can actually have some in account at the end of the month, I'm already £200 down for 21st Jan - 21st Feb as back charges are going out plus I paying my mum £100 not £50 (this month only)
