If it was in Spain then it would seem that the Uk offence of driving uninsured isn't relevant. There may be something similar in Spain but it sounds like nothing has been reported to the Spanish authorities.Car_54 said:He is, however, guilty of a criminal offence. Or two.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -

Car_54 said:The OP says "another car from another lane came and hit us", which implies that the other driver was at fault.
If the OP was not at fault, then the fact that he was uninsured is irrelevant. This is what the OP said, "In the morning the parking attendant guided us to move forward and when we did another car from another lane came and hit us."So not so clear cut, it sounds more like 50/500 -
Its pure speculation until other versions of events are heard... as the OP has presented it it sounds like the TP's fault but the TP may say the mirror, that they were instructed to proceed and the OP ignored the instruction to wait and moved forward anyway causing the collision.0

Simple answer tell the truth if not then the consequences are you will likely find yourself blacklisted and be unable to get insurance in future.0

Very confusing info so far.
Can you clarify exactly where the collision occurred?
In a lane/queue waiting to board the ferry - i.e. on Spanish soil?
On board the ferry?
When leaving the ferry - i.e. in some as yet unnamed country on the African continent?
There is no country called Africa so which country is the car in now?
Is the car going to travel through other African countries?
What insurance is covering the car now?
Even African countries have laws regarding insurance.
Of course the prudent thing would have been to have 'Green Card' insurance in place all the way from the UK to your final destination country - but it's too late for that now.0 -

How come MIB is involved? Was the other car UK registered too?
Many African countries are signatories but as yet we don't know where the OP is.0
