If the LoC was issued on 28 April, the earliest a formal claim should have been issued was after 30 days (27 May), and the earliest a Judgment could have been applied for was 19 days thereafter. Something seems inaccurate here. Please have another look. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sorry when I said letter of claim, I meant claim form.
sorry about that0 -
Knowing from the LBC (March?) that you were about to get a claim form there is no way you should have had nobody opening your post for a 5 week trip abroad. Sorry to say this was inevitable but avoidable. Very sad about this!
Either pay it in full or ask DCB Legal by email to note your evidence that you were abroad and consent to your set aside application, which will cost you £129 fee.
CCJ set asides and the sort of email to send is shown in the NEWBIES thread second post.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
