and yes the headphones are on
laptop does connect to bluetooth for trackball mouse and steelseries keyboard with no issues

Checked for a driver update? Microsoft don’t always provide updates for everyone’s drivers.

    no updates

Manufacturer site for motherboard and bios updates?

What make is the motherboard, laptop, or whatever?

The guide says it can store up to eight devices before it starts overwriting the oldest connection

If it's no longer listed on the laptop, put the headphones into pairing mode by holding down the call button for 6 seconds. When it flashes blue and red, scan for it on the laptop. The code is 0000
