Morning y’all. On Friday I went to Lidl to stock up for the weekend and cash in on some free item coupons. I got a large 600g tray of strawberries for free and a big bag of fusilli pasta for free too. Overall I spent £24.14 and got baby tomatoes, 2 bunches of bananas, a red bell pepper, a goat cheese log, parsley, sunflower seeds, YS pork meatballs, granola, oatcakes, crackers, sliced ham, and dishwasher tablets.
£408.01 / £325 spent. £83.01 overspent.
I’m declaring for the month and will look to managing my resources better next month. I can’t keep going over my budget like this. 😞 I’ve fallen off the meal planning wagon due to fatigue and stress and want to hop back on. Time to change up my strategy for next month. See y’all on the July thread x.

Hello all,
We started off well with the tracking and then it slipped up alot at the end of the month. We did not save all the receipts and a number of purchases came from my account rather than the joint as we have not transferred enough money into it, which has made it harder to track the spending. I have therefore checked the bank statements for all supermarket spending.
We came back from holiday a few days ago and really need to do a big shop. I have done a tiny shop to tide us over until 1st and plan to stock up then.
Today I bought from Aldi, £19.46 all from my list
Chicken to roast - dinner tomorrow with new potatoes and for lunches the rest of the week.
Noodles - for dinner tonight with defrosted beef.
Stir fry veg, cucumber, 2 bananas, blueberries, big tub greek yogurt, mini party ring biscuits for lunches.
My parents brought round some rolls for lunch yesterday and we didn't eat two so they are my lunch for the first couple of days this week.I am reporting in with a monthly spend of £241.19/£320 for June.
This does sound good that we came in under budget, however, there were a few takeaways and overspending in other areas which were very high. (I know these are not on topic for this thread)
I have learnt alot this month and ready to try again next month and reduce the spontaneous takeaways. If I added these to the grocery budget we would have been over I expect.
Your posts have all been helpful to get into the mindset for working this challenge and also many good ideas, I look forward to reading more net month.Grocery challenge June £241.19/£320

Finishing up the month with a £5 underspend. It's a nice exact amount because my bank does automatic round ups. However, we have had some meals out, picnics etc from a different budget so the grocery budget hasn't had to fund all our meals.well done to us all for our efforts in June. Over budget, under budget or on budget we have all tried our best.7

Evening all, another scorcher here today and an open gardens event which included our allotments group so I am absolutely exhausted now but it was a lovely day.
Looking at my diary for tomorrow I've decided to declare this evening because I simply won't have time to do any shopping before Tuesday so I'm declaring at
my main GC Budget £148.22/£150, the Baking Budget £22.25/£20 and the Bulk Buy Budget is now down to £73.23 in its kitty.
I'm quite pleased that I've managed to keep just within my budget although there have been a few treats like ready made ice pops and tonic water that have come out of a different pot it's still a great improvement on the same month last year when my total was £200.58!
I'm not so worried about the Baking Budget because I've recently received a donation of £20 to go towards the cost of making treats for our regular Wednesday Group.
One thing I do notice is that I haven't spent much of the Bulk Buy fund and I think that's because there are fewer offers on things in the supermarkets and even when there are reductions they aren't such a good deal as they used to be.
See you all over on the July thread."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

I've lost track a bit this month - I think I'm at least £60 over though. Luckily I'm not on a very tight budget (in fact I'm earning about 25% more than 2 years ago) but it just shows how it spirals if I take my eye off it.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

ive been really blessed with olio and b and m stickers this month, so that i am £100/£100 for this month. ive been very creative and im lucky enough to have the time to do it. i try and do alternate months of £100 and £200 per month for budget. thats for 2 adults, 1 big dog and 6 chooks and rocky rooster. when visiting my family I take large amounts of stock from my freezer to top them all up too!! my brother lives alone and has mobility problems now, so i like to keep him stocked up, also have 9 grandchildren who eat like they have hollow legs!!7

£1.64 spent in Sainsbury's on 10 free range eggs, then £18.34 in Tesco's.
I'd bought salad veg, a jar of pickled beetroot, reduced Warburton bagel thins, 4 tins of budget tuna, 1 bag of frozen fruit, 2 types of vegetarian kebab meat, vegetarian pastrami, a multi pack of mini jammie Dodgers on offer and a a multi pack of milky bar chocolate.
So that's £20.02 left in the pot for the rest of the week.
I'm hoping to make the 2 sweet treats last and given the weather maybe only buy salad bits and maybe a pack of cheap ice poles/lollies.Decluttering campaign 2023

Ending June at 43.72 over budget - however considering that covered foods/extras while were away for a week and our share towards an impromptu bbq at the weekend that I hadn’t budgeted for it’s not too bad I guessthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk2

Declaring at £360.58/385. Happy with this but I was helped this month by a 2kg pack of chicken being refunded and replaced.3
