Most prices up by a lot today here. ....Our food prices will probably go up a lot more over the next few months as no one knows what is going on with the tariffs. Will probably need to start going to our town farmer's market again as they have had the best prices. I just need to get a garden hose for my backyard and I can start growing things here. Saving up for some raised beds in the back yard.
Groceries £92.90/£200
As I had family here Saturday with lots of allergies and food preferences I kept buying bits! However most of it was not cooked so my freezer is now bulging... I do need more organic spinach but protein I have plenty of it)

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Ah @LadyWithAPlan, the thing about delivery is someone else choosing your stuff versus the removal of temptation (the temptation is there in the app with suggestions, but going back in for a cull before ordering helps.
Over here I did an indulgent M&S F&V shop with steaks for DH, who meeds building up. £77.85 spent which should last another weekSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

I have a couple of spends to report.
£5 at the Local Pantry
£12.19 at the corner store
£22 for oat milk on Amazon
= £39.19
So, £116.03/£400.00
I’m going to be doing an Asda shop on Friday, which usually costs a lot, but this time I’m going to be mindful of what we already have in stock, and work around that. We will see how that goes.

Popped into my Morries on way back from gym to get some more organic spinach (4 for 3. I am really enjoying eating loads of spinach whilst prepping my lunch with apple cider and balsamic vinegar,
Spent £20.01 on more greens, nuts (£5), lemons, limes, guac and salsa etc - no meat/fish
£112.91/£200 11 days in ..
I bought lots of food for family this weekend which ended up getting frozen plus I am planning to empty fridge/freezer before I go away so I need to eat down all the food so hopefully I wont blow my budget.
@Suffolk_lass I have ordered online before but not that impressed with its freshness and as its only me I dont like wasting food. I live surrounded by supermarkets all walking distance so think that helps. My mum now gets online orders and really enjoys it plus less carrying.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

Hello everyone. Another £1 to add to my total after visiting my favourite Community Fridge. I won't list it all as I'm not sure anyone is overly interested, but suffice to say it's about three Aldi bags full including a catering sized bag of KFC chicken (now portioned up and in the freezer), Pret salads, wraps (my favourite hoisin duck ones this week) and bircher muesli breakfast pots, 15 eggs, bread, semi skimmed milk, and more fresh fruit and vegetables than you could shake a stick at. It's fabulous and bonkers at the same time
I'm going to sit down now with a cup of tea to plan what to cook this week based on the above.
My June total currently stands at £22.08/£150.9 -
@C_J I am definitely interested! Please do continue listing your hauls, if it’s not too much trouble for you. 🙂8

500/600 leaves me 100 quid for next week as i go from 23rd to 23rd. Lots of 30 % and 50 % discount vouchers in aldi today but as the items were well past their best decided to swerve them as would be having to cut out bad bits from veg and fruit and you would not be left with anything. Also the fish smelt really bad.21k savings no debt4

I could live for a week on that C_J. Wow. Egg and cress sandwich sounds good right now. Afraid to go out to get anything at the store at the moment as ICE agents are just up the street. I do carry my old passport with me just in case.
Can't find apricots anywhere - and this is supposed to be apricot season around here. Very frustrated.5 -
