Hi, my daughter booked flights via Edreams that involved different airlines for out and return. One of the airlines cancelled her booked flight and there were no replacement flights available to fit the time or date that she needed. Edreams are saying that she has to cancel both flights but will only refund the flight cancelled by the airline as the other flight has a no refund clause. Is this correct or is she due a complete refund?

If they are separate tickets on different locators she will be refunded for the cancelled flight only.

For the other flight she will be bound by the Ts and Cs of that ticket.

Most likely, sounds like she has bought two unconnected single tickets rather than a return and so one is cancelled by the airline the other remains valid and its a "change of mind" if you want to cancel it which typically means you only get the taxes back but many agents charge a fee for processing this which will wipe out any economy level taxes. 

She should however only be able to cancel one flight and find another flight to match up to it so she can use the uncancelled portion.

Yep.  One of the big draw backs buying unconnected tickets via a cheap online third party.

This is an expensive lesson for her, but if she learns from it, the lesson will be worth the price.

Edreams has been around for decades, and for most of that time people have been giving it the most dreadful reviews. Anyone who buys flights from them is clearly very careless. Let us hope that she changes her purchasing behaviour, and so avoids this kind of problem in future.
