Santander 123 Lite - conversion to Everyday Account from 21 August 2025?

I already have an Edge with no DD simply for the purpose of Edge saver. Can I upgrade my Lite 123 into another Edge current so that I could have another Edge saver? (T/C seems to say No, Just wondering how strict they are with their T/C).
If not, what's the easiest way to move all my DDs to another bank without switching? (I need to keep the account as it is associated with a few things).0 -

But you can have a solo saver for each Edge CA, even though 1(CA) must be joint AIUI.
So you could convert the 123 to a joint and upgrade that to a joint Edge CA and get an additional saver?
Needs a phone call, probably with both applicants available .
And there is a chance that they wouldn't let you convert at this late stage.

EssexHebridean said:I've done the cashback calculator and as I suspected we will go from an approx £2 a month gain to a small loss, so it's definitely not for us. Ironically allowing that we originally went from Nationwide to Santander to open the 123 Lite I suspect we will now be transferring back the other way! That done, I'll also be closing all my other Santander accounts so it definitely won't have quite the effect they were hoping for in our case!0

I have 2 sole Edge current accounts and 2 matching Edge Savers, 1 just renewed from 7% to 6%.
No DDs, no payments in, no charges!
I pay direct into the savers from my Nationwide Current account.4 -
I posted this in a separate thread but it was suggested that I post it here as well:
I have a Santander 123 lite account and I had the email saying that in August it will convert to an everyday current account. My wife has what they call a 123 Current Account where she pays the monthly fee of £4 to get the benefits. She has not had any email---does anyone know if this account is also closing?.Waddle you do eh?1 -
When the 123 Lite gets moved over to a everyday account do you keep same account number and all DD's and SO's move over as well. So if you are happy with the move, everything should function as normal without any intervention on my part?I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
