It doesnt claim to be official, on the note anyway. Its simply saying the council "can" issue a PCN for the parking just in the same way I can tell you that if you punch me that the police can arrest you but that doesnt mean I am claiming to be a police officer.MikeyPGT said:The 'notice' looks a bit dodgy to me. Pretty sure that if it was official it would have some sort of council branding ...
Could you receive a penalty for parking on the pavement and obstructing a dropped kerb? Yes, is anyone with the authority to do so likely to ever come around your area? Probably not if there are no official parking restrictionspesser_2 said:I parked my car here were the Mirca is a, normal mk7 golf. My roads terrible for parking lucky to find a spot so i nabbed this one. There was similar slight over hang i have parked here before no problems. Few moments mrs has come back from a walk said theres a PCN on the car. I knows a little over hang can i really be done for that ?
Or is it someone just hogging a spot ?
Even if it's true that you could be ticketed for the parking it doesnt make it mutually exclusive about them wanting their preferred space. I would suggest they are not trying to be a helpful neighbour warning you of a potential future cost, whereas the local WhatsApp group does light up when traffic wardens are seen in the area here but then no one is sat there waiting to take your space.2
