Am i in the wrong

I parked my car here were the Mirca is a, normal mk7 golf. My roads terrible for parking lucky to find a spot so i nabbed this one. There was similar slight over hang  i have parked here before no problems. Few moments mrs has come back from a walk said theres a PCN on the car. I knows a little over hang can i really be done for that ?

Or is it someone just hogging a spot ?

The 'notice' looks a bit dodgy to me.  Pretty sure that if it was official it would have some sort of council branding ...

Looks like the person who owns one of the houses you have parked outside has taken 'umbrage' to your parking!! They've printed a standard letter that they keep for every time someone parks there & bought a joblot of stickers off ebay...
Still entering as many comps as poss & using as many coupons/freebies as poss all in a desperate bid to keep the head above water!!

Who do you mean by "they", your neighbour?
Have you actually received a PCN? Or just that home-made note in a sticky envelope that says Penalty Charge Notice on it?

Given that the Micra is overhanging and a MK7 golf is somewhat bigger you parked like a **** they are clearly use to it and fed up of it.

Personally I would be more worried about getting my car keyed than a council PCN

Actually, if you look this up online you can see plenty of them so I'm guessing this is legit.

I don't think you have to worry OP if you have not received anything in the post from the council but your neighbour is very clearly going to be notifying the council and they will be more than happy to fine you if what it says on the paper is correct as it's just free cash for them.
