Best WiFi for holiday home

I’m not young so don’t understand all the technical jargon but I have a small holiday home on mainland Spain and I’ve bought a laptop to take over there. I never thought about getting WiFi there as I have a phone with data roaming that automatically switches to the country I’m in. I only go to my place abroad for 2 weeks every other month, so 12 weeks a year.

What is the best way for me to get WiFi. Preferably I’d need something that I can just plug in when I’m there. I looked at the following:-

Use phone hotspot - I’m limited to a small amount of roaming data and don’t think it will be enough.

Small modem with sim slot - I haven’t heard of these so I’m not sure how it works. Do I just buy credit for the SIM card. I’m not sure of the difference between a modem and a router to be honest.

The Cloud - there is a shop nearby called cloud that supplies WiFi but it’s €30 a month whether you are there or not.

A dongle - how do they work?

If someone could give me some idea of the best way to get WiFi as and when I am there without spending a fortune I’d be really grateful.

A Mifi router and a local SIM with unlimited data might be a good option. I don't know of local SIMs to recommend so more research needed. I used to have a MIFI device I used when going away in the UK and some old hotels did not have decent wifi.

Phone hotspot with a local SIM will be your cheapest option. I paid €15 for a 30 day 100gb SIM in Tenerife last year.

Dongle Modem V WiFi hotspot

dad doesn't want a contract as only renting flat.

 He watches only couple hours tv in evening. £7 month is his sky sim in a dongle. 

  mainy watches freeview through normal tv aerial. Channels he can get on it less than what

 expected through normal TV aerial in his area according to freeview. 

So think aerial is not position correct Which he has no say over. got dongle working ok with freeview with couple of extra channels, the ones he like best like 5etc

But say flickering.My brother recommended the VODAFONE MiFi 4G Mobile WiFi 30 GB Hotspot , 

which data would last ages.but data expires in time limit, don't think he use 30 gb 90 days

Isit allowed to unlock it put another sim card in? Like one from USB dongle But if wifi hotspot thing is not going produce

 stronger/more reliable signal than dongle i yhink not worth trying as quite expensive Thanks for any advice
