Problem with Bank Statement UC

I have been asked to provide a bank statement for Dec 2023 to Aug 2024.
I have spent the last 6 weeks trying to get this.. I have managed to get from Feb 2024 but not the preceding 3 months. I have ordered it 3 times from the bank and it never came. I have been told today that it doesn't exist as it was a passbook account then and no transactions were made in this period. Is there anything I can do? I don't have the passbook as it went over to a normal account in 2024. I have a letter from the bank saying it doesn't exist due to no transactions but what now? My bank closes in a couple of weeks. (When I phoned them they said to go to branch to get the above letter instead which I did today)
Has this happened to anyone else?
Many thanks

You cant provide evidence that doesn't exist, just upload what you have and the letter and it should be fine.1

If you now have a letter from bank saying there were no statements as account was dormant, I cant see any issue.ebw1969 said:I have been asked to provide a bank statement for Dec 2023 to Aug 2024.

Is there any specific reasons they are asking you to provide bank statements for Dec 2023 to Aug 2024?0

You can only provide what exists... if you had another bank account (or others) during relevant period then provide that too perhaps. Any way of electronically covering the date range for a electronic generated statement?"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

Seems a bit odd even for a passbook account to not have records on banks system, or how would they work balance etc out if book was lost?
Even a dormant account should still show the date of last payment.
Was the passbook acc, with another bank that was taken over?Life in the slow lane0 -
You could ask the bank to draft a letter explaining the information required is no longer available as it was replaced and passbooks were no longer required. Tell them it's for legal purposes. Or ask the bank for the transfer notice letter.0

No it's the same account just not passbook now. I presumed as did staff that it should be able to be located but apparently not. It's taken weeks to find out it's not available staff have requested it three times now!born_again said:Seems a bit odd even for a passbook account to not have records on banks system, or how would they work balance etc out if book was lost?

I've got a letter from them saying there's no statement so hoping that will be sufficient. So frustrating! I was hoping the passbook may surface but it may have been handed over when the account changed or possibly lost in a move. I forgot I had the account so there were no transactions for a good few yearsTimeLord1 said:You could ask the bank to draft a letter explaining the information required is no longer available as it was replaced and passbooks were no longer required. I remember my father used to put them inside envelopes, but sods law it will surface looking for another document hidden in papers.ebw1969 said:
