I've also just been had by this lot. Should've done my homework first but was in a jam and thought I needed insurance quickly. Turns out I didn't so tried to cancel the policy before it had even started but have been hit with the massive £49.99 "admin fee".Will avoid this company at all costs in the future.0

my dad has just changed his car and wanted to update his policy. Bearing in mind he hadn’t signed up to one protect, his insurance was renewed and discovered the company had been switched?! He’s 76 and wouldn’t have chosen an online only service. Oneprotect hiked his direct debit from £57 pm to £80+ pm for a much smaller car, same year. When he questioned it and went through a lengthy live chat they quoted him… £6000!!! For a standard Renault Espace or pay just shy of £300 to cancel insurance. The operator then pushed him to decide or the whole thing would be stopped and he would have to start again. Had I not been here, he would have panicked and clicked the button and paid the £300. I’m now taking it up with the complaints department and we seeking advice from citizen advice bureau. I do not recommend on any level.
